Congratulations to the Louisiana NOMA (NOMA-LA) Chapter

Congratulations to the Louisiana NOMA (NOMA-LA) Chapter for receiving the 2012-13 Diversity Achievement Award from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture! We are proud of what they’ve accomplished.

Project Pipeline provides an opportunity to educate today's youth about the process and impact of architectural design.  The program is designed and taught by local architects. Each camp location will create an architectural design project which fosters greater connection with the local community. The camps provide multi-generational mentorship as the programs combine NOMA professional and student members to provide the instructors for the camps. The intensive two day weekend camp program introduces the students to site investigation, principles of design, scaled drawings, model making, critical thinking skills and presentation skills. The program idea was born in 2005 at the National Organization of Minorities Architects (NOMA) Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The first camp was held in 2006.
