Greetings NOMA Family,

As I write this updated President’s Message today, I am reflecting on the past 14 months that I have been privileged to serve in this role on behalf of NOMA. It has been an honor to give voice to the issues that are so important to our profession, especially surrounding diversity. Architecture, real estate and the building professions overall are better served when we can all find a place to contribute our time and talent to optimize the ways that our fellow citizens engage space and live their lives. As an industry, we have a tremendous duty to the public and I am proud that NOMA is speaking up to promote greater inclusion in the work that we are doing to shape the future of the built environment.

With 300 days left of my presidency as of today, I would like to ask for your help with the following things to keep NOMA’s momentum strongly moving forward:

1. Be Visible

Please share your good news with us so that we can promote what you’re doing to all of our members and the profession at large. Submit your news stories at: https://noma.net/news/

2. Leverage NOMA’s Network

If you are looking for diverse talent, look no further than NOMA. Please consider posting a job on our job board here: https://jobs.noma.net

If your company/school/organization is a member of NOMA President’s Circle, please note that you are entitled to a 10% discount off of all NOMA products and services in 2020. Learn more here: https://www.allinfornoma.com/circle

Of course, if you are looking for a new opportunity, please take a look at the job board and apply for the positions that are most suitable for your experience and interests. If you have questions, reach out to your NOMA mentor(s). If you don’t have a mentor, reach out to your chapter president for help with that…all NOMA members are entitled to a mentor. Mentorship is a hallmark of NOMA membership.

3. Renew Your Membership or Join Us Today

We are extremely excited about the upcoming NOMA Magazine, Spring 2020 Edition. Our new NOMA Magazine Editors Steve Lewis and Carla Flagg have done an amazing job of creating a publication that we will all be so very proud to read and share with our networks, highlighting the achievements and incredible thought leadership of our members. We are printing copies and mailing them only to individuals who are 2020 paid members with accurate mailing addresses. Please ensure that your dues is paid and your mailing address is up to date in order to receive your NOMA Magazine in the mail. There are certainly many reasons to join or renew your dues today, but this is a time sensitive one. Conference registration will open up soon, so that is another reason to be a member, allowing you to register at a discounted rate for Oakland 2020. We have a goal of climbing to 2,000 members this year, so we hope that you’re ALL in!

Join or renew here today: https://membership.noma.net/default.aspx

I cannot thank you enough for your continued support of NOMA and the work that we are doing to improve our collective field of endeavor. #ALLinforNOMA

In Gratitude,

Kim
